The SmartXide² fractional CO2 laser from Deka allows for deeper and more controlled skin renewal, ideal for treating advanced signs of aging, persistent pigmentation spots, enlarged pores, and deep wrinkles.
Unlike pulsed light, CO2 works by emitting microcolumns of thermal energy that penetrate the skin, causing controlled exfoliation of the most superficial layers and intensely stimulating the production of new collagen in the deeper layers.
During the session, the skin is disinfected and anesthetic cream is applied for greater comfort. During a pulsed light session, the eyes are first protected with glasses, and a cold gel is applied to the skin. Next, the doctor passes the device over the areas to be treated, and you may feel a slight warmth due to the light pulses, but the treatment is painless.
As the light passes through the epidermis without damaging it, it creates heat in the dermis, targeting three specific areas of interest for skin rejuvenation:
