Breast Augmentation: Breast surgery for both physical and self-esteem renewal.
What is breast augmentation surgery?
Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure aimed at improving the size and shape of the female breast. It is performed through the insertion of breast implants, which can be silicone or saline, depending on personal preferences and medical recommendations.
Also known as augmentation mammoplasty, it is one of the most popular cosmetic surgeries that seek to improve the aesthetics of the breast, providing not only a physical change but also a positive impact on the self-confidence of those who undergo the procedure.
If you are considering breast augmentation, make an appointment with our specialists at Turó Park Aesthetic. They will study your specific case and offer you a personalized solution tailored to your needs and expectations.

What are the different ways to achieve breast augmentation?
There are several types of implants used depending on the patient’s expectations.
The main differences are:
- Shape: More natural or round shape
- Texture: The texture can be smooth or textured
- Composition: An implant is filled with silicone gel or saline solution.
Breast augmentation with implants is performed by placing saline or silicone breast implants behind the breast tissue or under the pectoral muscle. The operation is performed under general anesthesia as an outpatient procedure, so you will be at home the same day. In some cases, the patient will need to stay in the hospital for one or two nights.
This method of natural breast augmentation uses autologous fat, i.e., your fat, and offers lighter and more natural results. Fat transfer surgery begins with liposuction to remove fat from areas such as love handles, stomachs, or thighs. The extracted fat is processed before being injected into the patient’s breast. Breast lipo filling allows to reshape the patient’s figure and increase the volume of the breast, to perform this operation, the patient must have localized fat deposits. It is important to note that part of the fat injected into the breast will be naturally reabsorbed by the body. This procedure allows a gain of approximately one cup and is ideal for correcting asymmetry, for example.
Composite breast augmentation is a combination of two techniques: breast implants and lipo-filling. Once the implant is inserted, the surgeon injects the patient’s fat around it. This procedure offers very natural results both visually and to the touch.
At Turó Park Aesthetic, we are committed to your well-being before, during, and after the procedure, ensuring professionalism not only in the treatment but also on the road to recovery.

Breast augmentation surgery step-by-step
The surgeon will talk with the patient before the operation about the desired final results. During this consultation, the following will be established:
- The patient’s motivation.
- Medical history.
- A physical examination
- The type of anesthesia: local, local with sedation, or general.
- A pre-anesthesia check-up is also performed.
The patient will determine their desired size by trying on sample implants.
The procedure varies depending on the type of breast augmentation treatment, but in general, the operation is as follows:
- Making an incision in the skin next to or under the breast
- Placement of the implant, either between the breast tissue and the pectoralis muscle, or behind the pectoralis muscle (as discussed during the consultation)
- Suturing the incision and covering it with a dressing
In general, all breast augmentations are minimally invasive procedures.
After the operation, the patient must wear bandages to support the breasts and limit swelling. Painkillers will be administered if the patient experiences any discomfort afterward.
During this period, it is recommended to sleep on your back and not on your side to avoid breaking the implant. Engaging in sports activities and exposing yourself to extreme heat or cold is not recommended.
Pain and discomfort can be relieved with the medication prescribed by the surgeon.

Frequently asked questions about breast augmentation treatment
Breast implants do not last a lifetime, so they will likely need to be replaced at some point. You may need to have surgery again after about 10 years, either because of problems with the implants or because your breasts have changed around the implants.
It may take several weeks to fully recover from the surgery, and you should not drive for at least 1 week. After 6 weeks: You should be able to return to most of your normal activities, and your scars should also start to fade.
As with any plastic surgery procedure, there will be scars and scar tissue after the operation. Located on the breast, they are not easily visible and will fade over time. Located on the chest, they are not easily visible and fade over time.
As with all surgeries, there is a small risk of bleeding, infections, and allergic reactions. It is therefore very important to consult a highly qualified and experienced surgeon.
Some risks to consider include:
- Thick and noticeable scars
- rupture of saline implants – may cause small tender lumps (siliconomas) leading to implant removal
- Wrinkles or folds in the implant
- Rotation of the implant within the breast, resulting in an abnormal shape
- Nerve problems in the nipples: they may become more sensitive, less sensitive, or completely numb; this can be temporary or permanent
